The Khanenko Museum is home to the most valuable collection of Asian and Islamic art in Ukraine. This book is a business card of the collection, presenting its most important works, and is the result of many years of work by museum researchers. The publication includes more than 150 works representing four sections of the collection: art of the Islamic world, Central and South Asia, China, and Japan. Russia's brutal full-scale war against Ukraine is also aimed at destroying and plundering cultural heritage. This is clearly evidenced by the sad fate of museums and their collections in the occupied territories. Now the Khanenko Museum's collection is hidden and inaccessible to visitors, and the museum's halls are empty. Therefore, this publication is more relevant than ever.
